Figolla Recipe Success

On Saturday April 11th, 2009 I wrote about our traditional Figolli and posted a recipe for making them...click here for the original post http://doreenscreativespace.blogspot.com/2009/04/maltese-figolli.html

It was lovely to hear from Michelle, one of my followers, and to know that she made these the first time using the recipe I posted and that they turned out so well. Thanks Michelle for sharing your success with me and as promised here is the picture you shared of one of your yummy figolli. Although the photo of your Bear figolla is quite small, one can tell you did such a fine job!

Well done Michelle and thanks again!

  1. I love baking but I have only made figolli once - it takes so much effort to make and decorate them.

  2. I agree with you Loree I does take effort and time. AND that is why in my previous post I also mentioned making one baking tray of the mixture in one batch...so much easier to cut into squares and decorate.
However I must say every time I made them it was so rewarding to see satisfactory results.
I did not make them this year but we got three as gifts : )

  5. Hi Doreen! Thank you so much for your helpful Figolli recipe. Even though I'm half Maltese and lived in Malta for many years, I'd never attempted to make my favourite Maltese Easter treat before. Since moving to the UK I missed them, so decided to take a shot at making my own this year....I am happy with the result thanks to your recipe! I'd like to send you a picture! Could you send me your e-mail address?
